GRR Garbe Retail; formed at the beginning of 2024, when Garbe Institutional Capital completed the takeover of GRR Real Estate Management, a food-anchored retail real estate specialist. At the time, GRR managed a portfolio of around 500 properties worth €2bn, let to retailers and discounters including Aldi, Rewe, Edeka, Lidl and Netto. The takeover expanded Garbe Group's managed real estate assets to around €15bn. Since then, the retail business has grown by over 30% and now has €2.64bn in assets under management. The company has transacted on more than 100 assets – about 75% bought and 25% sold to realise performance. Firm to establish operative units for industrial, residential and infrastructure. The new organisational structure is complemented by an internal advisory unit called Garbe Capital & Strategy, which will take the lead in special situations such as M&A projects. It will build on the expertise of the Garbe Institutional Capital subsidiary and focus on bridging the gap between the capital market and real estate. In 2025, Garbe Industrial has teamed up with ARTAR, a real estate developer in Saudi Arabia, to develop "next-generation logistics facilities" across the Kingdom. The joint venture, AG Logistics Partners, will focus on delivering premium-grade warehouses and distribution centres in key economic hubs, including Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
