Investor profile
The International Business Group (IBG) primarily invests in self-funded overseas development projects using MECʼs balance-sheet capital. The Investment Management Group (IMG) manages third-party capital through its global platform of real estate investment management subsidiaries, Mitsubishi Estate Global Partners (MEGP), offering products across different strategies – such as asset types, risk spectrum and fund format. The IBG may invest through the MEGP platform. This accelerates the growth of the IM business, including a new product launch with seed investment funded from the IBG, while providing the IBG with opportunities to diversify its portfolio using IM Groupʼs sourcing capabilities. We call the two groups collaborating in this way a "hybrid model".
